A Final Thought on The GayVN Awards

Since today's "News Desk" is turning into The GayVN Awards edition, I wanted to give a final thought on all the controversy surrounding this year's location, hosts, et al. A very important point that I feel needs to be made before we all head out to San Francisco in the next 24 to 48 hours!

Not to get all metaphysical on your asses or anything, but like most things in life, we will get out of this coming weekend whatever we go into it with.

I was talking with Chi Chi LaRue about this on the phone the other day and she was the one who first brought it up to me, saying, "If we all go into this weekend expecting it to be a horrible time, it's going to be awful. If we can come together and realize it's one of the only weekends we have as an industry to see each other and hang out and have a good time, we can still make this weekend a total blast and have a lot of fun. You know, the fun we had last year wasn't just about Kathy Griffin or The Castro. The pre-party the night before was a blast, the post party was so much fun. None of that had anything to do with the awards show itself. We made that fun. Us. On our own."

And we still can if we go into it with the right attitude.

I've been teasing a lot, but honestly I'm anxious to see everyone and make this weekend the most fun that it can be. It's not every day you get nearly all your friends in the same room all weekened long.

Regardless what the show will turn out, this is the gayvn, the awards dedicated to the gay porn stars.

If all the personalities are having a blast and silly time, then that's what makes it important.

However, newest revelation unveiled on Thursday and someone is just totally frustrated.
